The future is pretty awesome, all we have to do is build it.

My name is Vincent. I'm a self taught developer and data scientist currently living in Amsterdam. I'm co- chair of PyData Amsterdam, a preferred Rstudio training partner and meetup organisor for machine learning in Amsterdam.

Currently I work over at GoDataDriven in Amsterdam. Here I help companies get better at what they do by using data. It's a pretty rad company and it's a pleasure to work there. It's a place with enjoyable, capable collegues and I'm given a fair amount proper cases with impact for important clients.

I believe in open source and don't mind to evangalise from time to time. I have this blog about slightly less obvious aspects in the world of data science to help people get started as well as to keep a record of things that interest me. I'm known for speaking at events but also for giving free lectures in data science around Europe. I feel it is a fair way of giving something back as well as a fun way to learn about what problems people are trying to solve with data.

I'm not just giving these open sessions in Amsterdam. In fact, I'm planning on doing this in other places;
